Rick Smith is the Chief Executive Officer of Imagine Solutions, a premier provider of Enterprise Content Management solutions. Smith founded Imagine Solutions in 1998 and under his leadership the company has built a strong reputation among enterprises struggling with rising operating expenses and paper costs.

Early in his career, Smith built and managed large information systems with market leaders such as AT&T, Fidelity Investment, American Airlines and Sabre Computing Services. Notably, Smith designed the first contract management imaging system for Sabre along with implementing the first-ever FileNet enterprise content management system on the Windows platform.

Smith has lived the evolution of enterprise content management and imaging from bleeding-edge technologies to their adoption as vital enterprise management tools. Through the 1990s, Smith built Intellifile, the first service bureau for digital document imaging services, for Lomas Financial Services which was ultimately acquired by Affiliated Computer Services (ACS). Known as ACS Digital Imaging Services, Smith grew the division’s revenue to eight figures within 3 years.

Driven to have a broader impact on businesses struggling with paper-handling and manual processing, Smith founded Imagine Solutions. Imagine quickly became the largest reseller of the FileNet enterprise content management platform, consistently achieving Top 5 partner ranking nine years out of ten. More recently, Imagine Solutions is a multi-year winner of IBM FileNet’s North American Partner of the Year award and developed one of the industry’s first web-based remote capture solution.

A strong believer in giving back to the community, Smith leads Imagine Solutions employees in regularly volunteering with, and contributing to, local charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The North Texas Food Bank, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Susan B. Komen Foundation. Smith holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Management from Texas A&M University.
